2. Bellingen Camp Creative - The Art of Egyptian Dance |
Suitable for All
Learn the ancient feminine dance of the Middle East. This workshop will take you to the roots of Bellydance. Based on circles, weight shift and allowing authenticity in the body. Raqs Sharqi brings groundedness and alignment by engaging the power in the pelvic area. This dance encourages physical presence and expressiveness in the body bringing beauty and sensuality into everyday life. Each day we will begin with a low impact warm up emphasising stretching and connecting with the creative centre in the body.
This year we will focus on the Egyptian folk dance with emphasis on performance skills and learning the Egyptian walk.
